The Mansfield R-IV School District is excited to announce Zak Konyha will take over as the next building principal at Wilder Elementary School for the 2024-25 school year.

Konyha has been in education for 12 years as a classroom teacher at both the elementary and secondary levels. He has taught and coached at Hollister R-V schools and most recently with the Branson R-IV School District.

At each district, Konyha has taken on leadership roles serving as a team lead on a variety of building and district level committees. He has connections with the Mansfield area because his wife, Kellie (Hutton), grew up and graduated from Mansfield schools. Together, they have two children - Layton, who will be attending Kindergarten at Wilder Elementary School next year, and Evie.

Konyha is extremely excited to take on this new role as a building leader with Mansfield.

“I cannot wait to build relationships with the students, staff, and parents of Wilder Elementary,” he said. “So many great things are happening at Mansfield and I am honored to be given the opportunity to work alongside the amazing faculty and staff who put students first.”

Konyha has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from College of the Ozarks and a master’s degree in educational administration from Southwest Baptist University. He will step into his new role on July 1, 2024.
