Hartville woman arrested in Douglas County

Posted

Way back on Jan. 6, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department received information from Probation and Parole that Cristin Liles had provided a community service work sign in sheet indicating that Ms. Liles had completed 40 hours of Community Service at a church in Douglas County. At the time of being given the sign in sheet, she was advised the pastor had to sign the sheet. Upon turning it in, the P and P office attempted to contact the person listed as signing off on the community service time.

The P and P officer obtained information that the speaker at the church was someone different than who had signed off on the time.

That person advised there had been no community service done at the church. Deputy Evans attempted contact with the person who signed off on the community service and the number provided was disconnected. The speaker at the church was not familiar with the person who signed the paperwork.

Then on March 14, a Douglas County Warrant was obtained.

The charge was forgery and bond was set at $1,500 cash.

On April 6, Cristin Liles, 37, of Hartville, was arrested and transported to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department.
