Grovespring Elementary named a U.S. News Best School

In its first ever ranking of public elementary schools, Grovespring Elementary School was chosen among the Top-30% of elementary schools in the state of Missouri by U.S. News in its recently released report. Officially, the school was ranked by U.S. News as the No. 16 elementary school in the state after receiving an overall score of 98.46 out of 100. According to the U.S. News report, Grovespring Elementary School has 75% of students scoring at or above the proficient level for math and 85% scoring at or above that level for reading. Schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation and how well they prepare their students for high school. “I am proud of the many accomplishments this school, its teachers and its students have achieved,” said Grovespring Elementary School Principal Clint Horn. “This award is much deserved for all of the hard work our students and staff put in every day.” Hartville R-II Superintendent Mark Piper said, “The Hartville R-II School District is extremely proud of Grovespring Elementary staff and students for their recent recognition by U.S. News. This is a testament to their hard work and steadfast pursuit of teaching and learning. They consistently perform at the highest levels as noted by this most recent award as well as their 2018 National ESEA Distinguished School Award. Hats off to Grovespring Elementary!”
