All-State and All-District honors awarded for Class 2 basketball

Several Wright County basketball teams had players recently receive either Class 2 All-State and some with All-District honors for Class 2, District 10.
Boys basketball
Two Wright County teams had players earn All-State honors. Hartville’s Payton Cogdill and Mason Cogdill were both All-State recipients for the Eagles.
Norwood’s Peyton McDaris and Cooper Vaughan both earned All-State honors for the Pirates.
When it comes to the Class 2, District 10 selections, Norwood’s Cooper Vaughan was named Player of the Year and Norwood head coach Shane Chadwell was named Coach of the Year.
Noah Drake and McDaris, along with Vaughan, were also All-District choices.
Hartville had four Eagles named All-District. They were Mason Cogdill, Payton Cogdill, Boone Garrison and Jackson Ward.
Girls basketball
The Norwood Lady Pirates, who advanced to the Final Four in Class 2, were represented by Kalie Chadwell, who earned All-State honors for the Lady Pirates.
As for players earning Class 2, District 10 honors, Norwood’s Gentry Davault and Kalie Chadwell were named Co-Players of the Year in the district.
Norwood head coach Wayne Jessen was named Coach of the Year.
Autumn Gunter also earned All-District honors for the Lady Pirates.
Hartville’s Maddie Brown and Kinley Cryer were All-District choices for the Lady Eagles.
Mansfield’s Cali Lemons was named All-District for the Lady Lions.
