Rebecca Sue Horn

Rebecca Sue Horn, daughter of the late Don and Martha (Tucker) McCarty, was born Dec. 2, 1945, in Wright County, Missouri. She departed this life on Dec. 12, 2025, in Mountain Grove, at the age of 80. Sue grew up in the Mountain Grove area and graduated with the Mountain Grove High School Class of 1964. She was united in marriage to John Edward Horn on Dec. 3, 1979. They made their home in Columbia.
Besides her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her husband, John Horn; and an infant sister, Linda Fay McCarty. Sue is survived by one brother, Kenny McCarty; one sister, Janet Hutsell; and other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025, with Pastor Evan Harrison officiating. Burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home of Mountain Grove. Online condolences: www.craighurttfuneralhome.com.
