Michael Richard Frost

Michael Richard Frost, son of Richard Frost and the late Debra (Gabriel) Frost, was born Aug. 21, 1981, in Bellville, Ill., and departed this life unexpectedly, on Jan. 6, 2026, at his home in Mansfield, at the age of 44 years, 4 months and 16 days. Mike grew up in Saint Louis and attended school in the area, where he enjoyed attending St. Louis Cardinals games with his late grandmother. He was the oldest of five children and was the best big brother anyone could ask for. He worked at various places throughout his working career, mainly working for grocery stores in department manager roles. If you ever encountered him while he was working, his kindness and hard work ethic were evident. He was very intelligent and was a math wiz. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing poker, watching sports, even betting on the occasional game; he loved to watch crime shows, especially “Law and Order.” Growing up, he never had any pets, so naturally, as an adult, he filled his house with many pets, especially dogs. He loved his dogs very much, and they helped calm him and help him cope in times of need as he struggled with his health.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Debra Frost, and his grandparents. Mike is survived by his father, Richard Frost, of St. Louis; one sister, Michelle Frost, of Rolla; three brothers, Richard Frost, of Granite City, Ill.; James Frost and Tony Frost, both of St. Louis; close friend, Milissa Mckinney and her children, Katie, Susie and George Bell, all of whom he considered to be his own children; best friend of seven years, Shey Thompson, and her two kids that he was like an uncle to. People who he loved and they sincerely loved him back as he was nothing short of family while he lived in Mansfield. Also, several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Although Mike’s time on this earth was cut short, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. We celebrate his life and will cherish his memory. No services are planned at this time.
