Johnny Ray Miller

Johnny Ray Miller lived from  April 19, 1959 to Oct. 8, 2024. Born in Knox, Ind., he suffered from extreme Chronic Asthma his entire life. Johnny lived in Indiana, Arkansas, Texas and Missouri. He lived with his sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Roy Crouch, until he  passed away in Drury.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Oran Miller, and mother, Helen Jean (Fletcher) Miller, both of Toto, Ind. Johnny has four surviving sons, Kyle Ryon Miller and his wife, Nicole, of Sunbright, Tenn.; William Arzanious Miller and his wife, Tabitha, of Trinity, Ala.; Joshua Ray Miller and fiancé, Amber Lane, of Trinity, Ala.; and Zack Lynn Miller, of Arkansa; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; and a host of friends. Johnny loved life and loved to make people laugh. He loved to drive the side by side around the farm and play “Skip-Bo.”  Last Christmas, he dressed up to play Santa Clause for the family Christmas party, Fire Department Christmas party and to ride the Firetruck in the Ava Christmas Parade. Johnny also loved to sing gospel songs, his favorite, “Thanks to Calvary.”  There will be a Celebration of Life Service at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9 at the Eastern Douglas County Volunteer Fire Station, 8599 State Highway 95, Drury, with a reception following.
