Geneva Rachael Haney

Geneva Rachael Haney, daughter of the late Roland and Ruby (Sails) Worrel, was born Dec. 22, 1935, in Cabool. She passed on from this life June 11, 2024, at Kabul Nursing Home, Cabool, at the age of 88. Geneva was a great cook. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens and tending to her various plants. She had a kind spirit and enjoyed visiting with friends and family. 
Besides her parents, Geneva was preceded in death by one son, Edward Joseph Haney; two brothers, Robert Worrel and Gary Worrel; and one sister, Jackie Anderson. Geneva is survived by three sons, Bobby Haney, of Lorenzo, Texas; Michael Haney, of Keokuk, Iowa; and Roger Haney, of Simmons; one daughter, Janet Rust, of Simmons; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside services for Geneva Haney were held at 2 p.m. in the Friendship Cemetery, north of Mountain Grove, with Bro. Jared Moore officiating. Special songs were “Go Rest High On That Mountain” and “I Want To Stroll Over Heaven With You.” Burial was in the Friendship Cemetery under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home of Mountain Grove.
