Daniel E. Parker, son of the late Gladden and Theodora (Trandahl) Parker, was born May 12, 1949, in Vallejo, Calif. He peacefully passed away on Sep. 2, 2025, in Cabool, at the age of 76, with family by his side. Dan grew up in Vallejo, California and graduated with the Analy High School Class of 1967, in Sebastopol, Calif. He was united in marriage to Charlene “Sue” Parker in 1975 in Carson City, Nev. Dan was in law enforcement for over 40 years and in his past time he loved riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, farming, and spending time with family.
Besides his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Parker; three brothers, Guy, Steven and David Parker; and one great-grandchild. Dan is survived by four sons, Jeffrey Parker, of Eugene, Ore.; Michael Parker and his wife, Mandy, of Phoenix, Ariz.; Chalmer Parker and wife, Staci, of Lee's Summitt; and Bo Parker and wife, Amanda, of Mountain Grove; one sister, Carol Barnes and husband, Bret, of Mountain Grove; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces; and many other relatives and friends who will miss him greatly. Graveside services for Dan Parker were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sep. 6, 2025, in the Clifty Hall Cemetery, Vanzant, with Pastor Nathan Goad officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Bo Parker II, Bobby Barnes, Jeff Stuart, Eric Moss, Duane Parker and Phil Sullivan. Honorary pallbearers were Bret Barnes, Charley Whanger, Danny Bledsoe and Dusty Parker.
