Christina Renee "Christie" Wells

Christina Renee "Christie" Wells, daughter of Sandra and Darrell Crites, was born in Excelsior Springs, on Aug. 17, 1976, and departed this life Jan. 24, 2025, in Lebanon, at the age of 48 years. She was a beloved sister, wife, mother and grandmother, with a big heart and always willing to help others. She enjoyed cooking for her family, visiting with friends and family and telling stories. She was most happy surrounded by her children, grandchildren and siblings. She also enjoyed cultivating house plants, gardening and the feeling of grass on her bare feet. She was saved at Trinity Freewill Baptist Church in Cabool, in 2016, and baptized by the Rev. Donnie Wells that same year.
Christie is survived by children, Danyell Tollison, Eugina Drummond, Katelyn Johnson, Austin Ross, Zechariah Hobbs and Jacob Wells; siblings, D.J. Crites and his wife, Missi, of Mountain Grove; James Piburn and his wife, Tammy, of Marshfield; Michael Piburn and his wife, Linda, of Mountain Grove; and Katie Crites-Fri and her husband, Jeremiah, also of Mountain Grove; eight grandchildren, Keeton, Rylee, Hunter, Michael, Natalie, Josey and Coalter; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. Those preceding her in death include her parents; one son, Noah Wells; one daughter in infancy, Paige Lizabeth Wells; and one infant grandson, Lee Ross. She was a treasured friend by many and her absence will be sincerely felt by those many friends and her family for many years to come.
