Lady Pirates walk-off with Fordland and beat three teams by 32-2 margin

The Norwood Lady Pirates’ softball team moved their record to 8-2 on the spring after picking up three Summit Conference victories where they outscored their opponents, 32-2.
In the tightest match-up of the week, the Lady Pirates picked up a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning from Maddie Campbell for a 3-2 win over Fordland.
She finished with three hits, one RBI and one run scored; Katelynn Bennett had one RBI and one run scored; Jaycee Hall had one RBI and Clarisa Passott scored one run.
On the mound, Campbell tossed eight scoreless innings and gave up three hits with 14 strikeouts.
One day later, the Lady Pirates had a 13-run second inning in a 17-0 win over Conway.
Addie Smith had four RBIs and one run scored; Hall had three RBIs and scored three times; Autumn Gunter added three RBIs and scored two runs; both Campbell and Bennett had one RBI and scored three times; Mayci Calhoun had one RBI and scored two runs; Lydia Harden and Passott had one RBI and scored one run; while Gracelynn Miller scored one run.
Campbell tossed three no-hit, shutout innings and had eight strikeouts.
They followed that win by traveling to Seymour and leaving with a 12-0 victory.
Norwood scored at least three runs in each of the first innings as they cruised to the five-inning win. Miller scored four times; Gunter had three RBIs and one run scored; Bennett and Hall each had one RBI and scored one run; while both Passott and Campbell scored twice.
Campbell tossed five scoreless, no-hit innings and had nine strikeouts.
