Lady Pirates get walk-off victory

The Norwood Lady Pirates’ softball team had a 3-2 win over Wheatland last week after Autumn Parsons scored on an error in the bottom of the seventh inning. Norwood scored twice in their final at-bat.
Megann Bradshaw tossed seven innings and gave up two earned runs on 10 hits with two strikeouts and one walk.
Norwood also had a pair of recent wins in which they scored 22 runs after outscoring two teams, 44-12.
Reagan Bennett had three hits, five RBIs and three runs scored while Jaycee Hall had four hits, three RBIs and three runs scored.
Parsons added two RBIs and scored twice.
Bradshaw tossed five and two-thirds innings and gave up eight earned runs on 13 hits with five strikeouts.
In a 22-2 win over Walnut Grove, Hall hit a two-run home run and finished with four RBIs and three runs scored.
Jamison Williams added two RBIs and two runs scored; Addison Smith had two RBIs and one run scored; while Bradshaw had two RBIs.
Bradshaw tossed three innings and gave up two earned runs on three hits with one strikeout and two walks.
Norwood also had a 14-0 loss to Marshfield and an 8-5 loss to rival Hartville.
