Fire department responds to fire at Mountain Grove Sonic

The Mountain Grove Fire Department responded to a fire call at Sonic in Mountain Grove at approximately 1:10 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 4. The fire was located on the south wall next to the drive thru. Mountain Grove Fire Chief Clinton Gibbens said it was a smoldering fire, so there were no active flames when firefighters arrived on scene.
Fortunately, there were no reported injuries. As of press time, the drive thru remains open for customers to use.
