Lady Lions get win over Conway

The Mansfield Lady Lions’ softball team picked up a big Summit Conference win last week when they won a slug fest with Conway, 15-10.
The Lady Lions answered Conway’s six-run top of the fifth inning with five runs of their own to help them in a win after compiling 14 hits in the contest.
Kayley Kingery had three RBIs and three runs scored; Carley Young had three RBIs and scored twice; Addie Jones had two RBIs and scored three. Times; Kiersten Garrison had two RBIs and two runs scored; Laikyn Ball added one RBI and scored four times; Mylee Sullivan and Brooklyn Dugger each had one RBI; while Madisyn Bennett scored one run.
Jones tossed four and two-thirds innings and gave up three earned runs on four hits with 10 strikeouts and eight walks. Dugger had two and a third scoreless innings and gave up two hits with three strikeouts.
Two days earlier, the Lady Lions did fall to Willow Springs, 15-0.
Jones led the Lady Lions’ offense with two hits. She tossed three and two-thirds innings on the mound and gave up 10 earned runs on seven hits with six strikeouts and five walks.
