World War II medals presented to family of the late James Coats

The family of the late James Coats last week were presented two World War II medals recognizing their father, who passed away on May 31 at the age of 96. One medal was the World War II Victory medal and the other was an Army of Occupation medal (Japan). American Legion Post No. 30’s Pete Proctor presented the medals to Coats’ sons, Tom Coats, on left in photos, and Jimmie Coats, on right in photos. The presentation was made just in front of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home in Mountain Grove.
