One fatality, two others with serious conditions in one vehicle accident

A Mansfield man lost his life in a one vehicle accident that took place around 3:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Report, a now deceased 28-year-old driver was driving a 1984 GMC Pickup on Highway EE, three miles northwest of Mansfield.
He was heading northbound when the vehicle reportedly ran of the right side of the road, struck a mailbox and a culvert. It then skidded and overturned and struck a fence.
The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene and he reportedly was not wearing a safety device.
A 20-year-old male, from Springfield, who wore a safety device, suffered serious injuries and was taken by Life Flight to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.
Another passenger, who is 23, suffered serious injuries and was taken by Cox ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.
He reportedly was not wearing a safety device.
