Hartville CC at Run with the Elk

The Hartville cross country program opened their season last week by competing in the Run with the Elk race held in Winona.
The Eagles finished seventh in team points with 166.
Broc Roden led the squad with a 20th place time of 21:08.
Other runners included Mason Rorrer (23:19), Gustin Dennis (24:15), Landan Medlock (27:14), Jayden Betts (28:27), Micah Clevenger (29:09), Wyatt LaFavor (32:18), Leland Nichols (33:51) and Gunner LaFavor (40:30).
The Lady Eagles did not have enough runners to earn team points, but two of them earned Top-30 finishes.
Ella Pedersen came in 27th place with a time of 30:19 and Claire Dickinson was 28th (30:33).
This was a start to the season for a cross country squad who lost one senior to graduation in Alex Parsons.
“We are a young team with primarily freshman; this year, we will continue to chase personal bests,” said Hartville head coach Jason McDermitt.
