Groundbreaking held at OakStar Bank in Grove

An official groundbreaking ceremony was held last week for OakStar Bank’s new building to be constructed on N. Main St. in Mountain Grove.
Several OakStar Bank administrators and employees were joined by City of Mountain Grove officials, the Crossland Construction Company, LLC and the Baron Design & Associates, LLC for the event.
“I’m very happy we can bring this to the community,” said Levi McDaris, Community Bank President, during his brief remarks.
Mike Lawson, OakStar Bank CEO, noted how many of the company’s employees are from small towns and they understand how to serve their communities, especially in the area of agricultural, commercial and home lending.
The estimated time to build the 7,500 sq. ft., full-service facility is around 365 days.
The new bank will feature two drive-thru lanes and ATM access.
There will also be sufficient parking for customers.
The facility inside features around seven  lending offices, a retail office and a teller station.
There will also be a basement that will feature a work room and a break room.
The new building is being constructed on 2.5 acres next to their current location, which is being leased from Wright County Land Services.
Work on the construction site officially began on Feb. 16.
OakStar Bank started operating in Mountain Grove back on March 7, 2022.
The local branch is among 26 OakStar Bank locations that operate across Missouri, Kansas and Colorado. There is a heavy focus in Missouri with some nearby locations in Springfield, Lake Ozark, Camdenton and Osage Beach. The bank’s phone number is 417-477-6110.
