A recognition of the Wright County Patriots will take place at 11 a.m. on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25 on the Wright County Courthouse lawn.
All Wright County citizens are invited to recognize the patriots who gave the supreme sacrifice in service to their country by reading their names in front of the memorial honoring them. After the reading of their names, World War II veteran Darrell Cope will lay a wreath, followed by Wright County veterans organizations who will commemorate the event by firing a 21-gun volley, playing of Taps and raising the American Flag.
Everyone is invited to recognize the 161 patriots from Wright County who gave their lives in service to their country.
