Wayne Woodard, son of the late Charles and Maude L. (Land) Woodard, was born Oct. 28, 1930, in Hamletsburg, Ill., and passed away Sep. 24, 2021, at his home in Mountain Grove, at 90 years of age. Wayne was raised in Illinois. He was a beef and dairy farmer for many years and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing, bear hunting, golfing, bowling and playing cornhole. He greatly enjoyed socializing with his friends. Wayne also served his country in the United States Army. Wayne married Freeda on July 27, 1956, in Kankakee, Ill. They loved traveling together all over the United States in their motorhome. Freeda passed away in 2017.
Besides his parents and his wife, Wayne was preceded in death by two brothers, Theodore and Charles. No services are planned at this time. Cremation was under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mountain Grove. Online condolences: www.craighurttfuneralhome.com.
