Posted

Wanda Lee Pasley, daughter of Charley Otis Pasley and Bessie Pauline Owens Pasley, was born Jan. 15, 1949 at Norwood and departed this life Monday, June 21, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield at the age of 72 years, 5 months and 6 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Wanda is survived by two daughters, Cristal Philpott and husband, Keith, of Yellville, Ark.; and Becky Eckles and husband, Rick, of Mansfield; three granddaughters, Christina and Amanda Philpott and Monica Eckles; other relatives and friends.

She made a profession of faith in Christ at an early age and was a member of the Mansfield First Assembly of God Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed puzzles, watching TV, playing on her tablet and loved being a mom and grandma.

Wanda lived her whole life with a disability, but everyone who knew her couldn’t help but love her. She was quiet, not quick to anger, could have an opinion, and loved the Lord. Her life had its ups and downs, but she always had her faith and never complained, always asking about her friends and how they were doing. We are saddened at Wanda’s passing, but certain she is very happy being in a place she has longed for, in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Mansfield with Pastor Ronnie Roy. Burial took place in the Mansfield Cemetery in Mansfield. Recorded music included “Where the Soul Never Dies” and “Never Grow Old.” Escorts included Keith Phipott, Richard Kelly, Doyle Cox, Harold Dennis, Steve Copeland and Bryce Cain.
