Virginia Mae “Ginny” Dugger, daughter of Robert Edward and Oma Mae (Lovelace) Craver, born on April 21, 1927 in Clemmons, N.C., reunited with her sweet Lord, daughter and husband on Oct. 27, 2020 at the age of 93 years, 6 months and 6 days. In 1943, a beautiful family legacy was born when two strangers’ paths crossed in a small restaurant in Winston Salem, N.C.. A young, handsome, 21-year-old Eugene smiled at a bright and beautiful 16-year-old Virginia and the rest was history. At the time, Gene was stationed in the Air Force base in Greensboro, N.C. and Ginny lived nearby in Clemmons, N.C. Shortly after on Dec. 2, 1944, the two were united in marriage and their next 65 years together was filled with love, joy and happiness on their farm in Hartville. Gene and Ginny were blessed with three wonderful children, Brenda Jean, Jackie and Eddie.  Ginny is survived by her children, Jackie Dugger and his wife Shelia, and Eddie Dugger and his wife, Susan, all of Hartville. She was “Granny” to six grandchildren, Randy Dugger and his wife, Carrie, of Hartville; Tracy Hardcastle and her husband, Rick, of Hartville; Jamie Dugger and his wife, Bonnie, of Ozark; Kelli Garrison and her husband, Joe, of Mansfield; Tasha Stevenson and her husband, Toby, of Springfield; and Shawna Stanley and her husband, Jody, of Nixa, Missouri. Granny was the best great-grandmother to 16 great-grandchildren, Rilee, Mallory, Aubrey, Kensie, Case, Carter, Aiden, Jace, Katie, Owen, Eric, Ethan and Halee. Ginny is also survived by her two sisters, Shirley Camby, of Hartville, and Barbara Mahannah, of Clemmons, N.C. She was also loved by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Ginny was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene; her daughter, Brenda Jean; and her two brothers, Ralph and Clarence. Granny radiated in her love for the Lord. She was a devout follower of Christ and was a lifelong member of the Hartville Free Will Baptist Church. She wore her 17 years of perfect Sunday school attendance pins proudly. Granny never wavered in her passion for helping others. Over the years, she and Gene would open their home to help people in need and she was always willing to lend a hand to those around her. She volunteered her time as the bible school and Christmas play director at church for many years. She served alongside some of her dearest friends as a church camp cook at Camp Niangua for 25 years. One of her best expressions of love was cooking meals for her friends and family – her famous rolls, chicken and dumplings and fried pies will be terribly missed. Granny was a wonderful seamstress and sewed many beautiful things.  She was especially talented at piecing quilts and enjoyed sharing them with those she loved. Granny also loved God’s creation and was always outside gardening and tending to her beautiful flowers. Granny was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, neighbor and friend and will be missed by many. We celebrate that Granny’s life in heaven is blooming like a rose, where the streets are gold and there are flowers of every hue in the Valley of Peace.
