Virginia “Jenny” Fischer

Virginia “Jenny” Fischer, 75, of Mountain Grove, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021, at the Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains. She was born on Feb. 17, 1946, the daughter of Roy and Rethel Clark. Jenny raised three children, and when the need arose, she raised her granddaughter, Tammy, from a toddler to the age of 18 and then again sacrificed to finish raising her grandson, Isaac, from middle school through high school. She had an infectious smile and a compliment for everyone she saw while out and about. Above all, Jenny loved her family fiercely and nothing made her happier than the arrival of a new baby into the family. Jenny lived in Mountain Grove the majority of her life on South St. then Doris and finally the Mountain Grove Apartments. She was a longtime and faithful member of the First Church of God in Mountain Grove. After suffering a series of strokes, she spent the last year at Kabul Nursing Home where the staff loved and cared for her. Jenny was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Roy William “Billy” Clark; a sister, Dottie Reel; and her daughter, Kimberly Ivie Blanchette. She is survived by her sons, Billy Joe Clark and Robert Hutsell and wife, Vickie; grandchildren, Tammy Clark; Adam Richardson and wife, Erin; Isaac Collins and fiancé, Ariel McGinnis; Allison Crewse and husband, Riley; Tanner Hutsell and wife, Ashlie; Jordan Hutsell; and Samantha Hutsell; great grandchildren, Gracie, Hallie, MacKenzie, Luke and Cody Richardson, Aden and Matthew Rutz, Brady and Baiya Crewse, baby Calvin Crewse, who is on the way, and Eli McGinnis; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her very much. Memorial visitation was held on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021 from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral chapel.  Interment will be in Green Mountain Cemetery at a late date.
