Victoria Anne Linton; much loved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend; died Friday, Aug. 20, 2021, at the young age of 38.  She was born Sep. 16, 1982. Known for her infectious laughter, friendly smile, caring nature and sense of humor, Vickie was surrounded by people who loved her from the time she was born in Atlanta, Ga., to the time she passed in Springfield. Vickie loved spending time with her family more than anything else in the world. She loved her husband Richie (affectionately known as “sexy hubby”), son, Isaac, and daughters, Allison and Olivia, deeply. You could always find her doing something with her family; attending concerts and dance recitals, shopping for clothes and candles, painting nails, playing games, enjoying dinners together, or just snuggling up to watch some favorite shows or read. She loved the holidays, especially Christmas, and was often preparing to decorate with her family months before. Many of her weekends were spent at her parent’s house in Graff, just soaking up the peace and quiet, riding 4-wheelers, jumping in a side-by-side to hunt for her dogs, and sitting on the porch talking for hours with her mom and dad, Darlene and Craig McCollum. In addition to her family, she also was a beloved member of the Christenson Transportation work family for the past 10 years and was an integral part of the company. Many of her co-workers described her as the easiest person to work with, always ready to help with a smile, and willing to go above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She often shared the joys of her job with her family, and made many friends along the way.  There’s no doubt that she will be missed by all. She is survived by her husband, Charles Linton; son, Isaac Linton; and daughters, Allison Linton and Olivia Linton; her parents, Darlene and Craig McCollum, of Graff, and David LaCroix, of Griffin, Ga.; her sisters, Jade Cantrell, of Springfield; Vanessa Kline, of Columbia; Amber Nichols, of Mountain Grove; and brother, David LaCroix, Jr., of Grayson, Ga.; and many nieces and nephews. Vickie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Leontine and Chester Hawthorne, of Georgia; Bertha and Richard LaCroix, of Vermont; her aunt, Janet Mackie, of Georgia; and uncles, James and Robert LaCroix, of Vermont; and most recently, the death of her niece, Dylan Barnes, of Springfield. Visitation for Vickie Linton will be held Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021, from 6-7 p.m. at Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 7 p.m., also at the funeral home, with Scott Linton officiating. Song selections will be “Ho Hey” and “Crazy.”  Burial will be in Union Chapel #1 Cemetery at a later date. Services and cremation are under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mountain Grove.
