A 37-year-old Mountain Grove woman suffered serious injuries in a two vehicle accident that took place on Wednesday, June 23 at 9:40 p.m. on U.S. 60 at Route C in Norwood.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Report, Andrea Hurst, 37, was driving westbound when her 1999 Chrysler Sebring traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a delineator post. She reportedly overcorrected then crossed both westbound lanes and the median, going into the path of an eastbound vehicle driven by Joshua Ogden, 37, of Pottersville.

Hurst was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

Ogden, who was driving a 2004 Ford F250, did not have any injuries reported.

Five minutes later, a second accident took place when Ashely Beavers, 37, was driving her 2012 Chevrolet Malibu and struck Ogden’s truck, which was disabled and unoccupied at the time.

Both Beavers and her two-year-old male passenger suffered moderate injuries and were both transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
