Timothy “Doc” Davis

Timothy “Doc” Davis, son of King and Dorles Davis, was born on Dec. 18, 1958. He was the seventh son of 12 children born to this union. Surrounded by his family and loved ones, his homecoming was July 23, 2021 at the age of 62 years and 7 months. Doc graduated Hartville High School in 1978; after graduating he worked for the Mansfield Steel Plant for 16 years. Then he went on to work in the construction field until he had to medically retire after 18 years.

Survivors include a daughter, T’keyah Mene Davis; a grandson, Cassius King; siblings, Larry (Barbara), Cornelius (Diane), Carl (Karen), Kenneth (Tammy), King (Lisa), jean Ann, Janice, Joyce, Christopher and Joretta (Arron); step-siblings, Larry, Deana, John and Lloyd Perkins; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends; a very special friend, Lola Watson and family Larry, Candace, Kallie and grandson, Beau; special family, Torrie (Deoin), Tara, Tiffany, Anica and Filiberta Perez. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sibling, James Tompkins. In his free time, Doc enjoyed team roping, trail riding, fishing, horseback riding, cooking, hunting; but most of all, he loved his family and friends and all the time he could spend with them. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and caring neighbor; we celebrate his life and will treasure the many happy memories he created. Services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Tompkins Cemetery in Hartville with the Rev. Mark Roy. Musical selections included “Troubadour” by George Strait, “I Pray” by Red Marlow; “Believe” by Brooks & Dunn and “Go Rest High on that Mountain” by Vince Gill. Postlude included “Broken Halo” by Chris Stapleton, “Where I get Where I’m Going” by Brad Paisley and “Outskirts of Heaven” by Red Marlow.  Escorts included Larry Johnson, Carl Davis, King Davis, Cornelius Davis, Kenneth Davis and Christopher Davis. The final resting place was in Tompkins Cemetery in Hartville. Holman-Howe Funeral Homes handled the arrangements.
