Three track titles for Mansfield

Mansfield’s track and field program had several athletes advance to next week’s sectionals after earning top four finishes in the Class 2, District 5 meet.

The ladies were led by Skylar Adams as she won the district crown in the 800 meters (2:30.38) and the 1,600 meters (5:49.38).

Logan Jones won the district title by winning the 3,200 meters (13:02.77). Kaylee Wallin was fourth in the 400 meters (1:36.84).

The 4x400-meter relay team was fourth (4:46.32).

Caige Henry took third in the 200 meter (29 seconds) while Wallin was seventh in the same event (45.32).

The 4x100-meter relay team was sixth (58.63).

Shaely Wilson was fifth in the discus (15.8m) and sixth in the shot put (7.68m).

The boys were led by David Best, who was third with a time of 28.11 seconds in the 200 meters.

Brady Corder qualified in the 3,200 meters after taking fourth (11:05.60). He was seventh in the 1,600 meters (5:22.75).

Both the 4x400 and 4x800 relay teams were fifth. Tom Emerick took sixth in the triple jump to earn team points (10.89m). He was also eighth in the discus event (30.23m).
