Mountain Grove’s boys basketball team fell, 61-38, in their season opener on the road to Springfield Catholic. Statistics are now available from that contest.
Mountain Grove trailed by just six points at the end of the first quarter before Springfield Catholic opened up a 12-point edge at halftime.
Springfield Catholic would outscore Mountain Grove, 28-17, in the second half of the win.
Kaden Bruce led Mountain Grove with 14 points.
Drew Vaughan had eight points; Bryce Stenzel added five points; while two points were scored by Tyson Elliott, Jace Dowden and Isiah Hellbusch.
