Mansfield senior Skylar Adams capped off her strong distance career for her school’s track and field program by earning All-State honors at last Saturday’s Class 2 State Championships in Jefferson City.
Adams earned fourth place honors to win a state medal in the 1,600 meters after her time of 5:24.24. She held off Smithton’s Riley Bryan near the finish line by .74 seconds.
She was also 14th in the 800 meters (2:32.03) and 15th in the 400 meters (1:04.85).
Meanwhile, Logan Jones earned a Top-16 finish in the 3,200 meters after finishing the race with a time of 13:48.04.
