Shooting success found among Texas County 4-H shooters

Several local 4-H shooters have had success at events representing Texas County.

Skeet Shoot

Five boys represented the county in the State Skeet Shoot in St. Louis.

Ben Steelman was first in both intermediate skeet and skeet doubles; Cylas Black was third in intermediate skeet and skeet doubles; Brighton Hutson was third in senior skeet doubles and fourth in skeet, while Case Jones was ninth in senior skeet doubles. The senior team of Hutson, Jones and Evan Gifford was third in doubles and fourth in singles.

 

Trap Shoot

At the State Trap Shoot at Linn Creek, Steelman was third in intermediate doubles and fourth in intermediate singles. Tres Warner was fourth in senior singles; Black was seventh in intermediate doubles and Hutson was ninth in senior doubles. The senior team of Hutson, Cade Richards, Jones, Gifford and Warner took first in both senior singles and doubles.

 

Sporting Clays

At the Sporting Clays 4-H Shoot in Jefferson City, Black was sixth for individual.  Hutson was sixth place for individual and the team took fifth.
