Shirley made a profession of faith in Christ many years ago and was a current member of the Fordland Freewill Baptist Church.  In her spare time, she enjoyed antiquing. She and Jack loved going to Bluegrass Festivals and raising Haflinger horses. But spending time with her family, especially the grandkids brought her the most enjoyment.
