Roger Ray Talbot, son of Bennie and Emma (Hopkins) Talbot, was born July 25, 1954, in Los Angeles, Calif., and departed this life Jan. 26, 2018, at his residence in San Jose, Calif., at the age of 64 years, 5 months and 1 day. Roger grew up and attended all 12 years of school in Ozark,. In high school, he was on the debate team and the wrestling team. Roger graduated high school in 1972. After graduation, he worked for the offshore oil rigs doing scuba diving on maintenance work on the rigs. After his career ended, he still enjoyed scuba diving and seeing the country on his motorcycle. Roger was preceded in death by his father, Bennie Talbot. At the time of his death, he was survived by his mother, Emma Talbot; and two aunts, Esther Jones, of Mountain Grove, and Patsy Johnson, of Orogrande, N.M.; and many cousins and friends who miss him greatly. Graveside memorial services for Roger Talbot will be held Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020, at Thomas Cemetery, Norwood, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Dale Garrison officiating.
