Hartville head boys basketball coach Brett Reed was presented with his official Coach of the Year plaque for Class 2 from the 2019-2020 season during halftime of the Eagles’ JV game against Strafford on Friday night. Reed received the award from MSHSAA’s Kevin Garner. Hartville Superintendent Mark Piper had the crowd recognize Garner for his efforts in giving both the Hartville boys and Strafford girls a chance to play in the Final Four and win a state championship in spite of the start of the pandemic.
