Price Lewis Laub

Price Lewis Laub was born Feb. 22, 1927, to Fred C. and Elgie (Hogue) Laub. He passed Oct. 18, 2021, at the age of 94. Price grew up in Norwood. He attended and graduated from Norwood schools. After high school, Price joined the United States Marine Corp and served in World War II. He received an honorable discharge. Price married Lorene Locke, and two children were born to this union.  Price worked in several different career choices over his lifetime. He was a highway patrolman in the state of Kansas, a weigh inspector and driver examiner in the state of Missouri and finished his working career as a school bus driver for Norwood schools. He enjoyed working in the garden, lawn care, handyman activities around the house and farming. Besides his parents, Price was preceded in death by five brothers, Toby, Allen, Herbert, Johnny and Fred Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Lorene, of the home in Marshfield; daughter, Diane Lea and her husband, David, of Marshfield; son, Duane Laub and his wife, Mary Jane, of Springfield; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother, Tony Laub, of Flippin, Ark. Graveside services for Price Laub were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 22, 2021, at Thomas Cemetery with Rev. Zach Williams officiating. Arrangements and services were under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mountain Grove. The family has requested memorial contributions be made to Thomas Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
