Mountain Grove had hoped to win a plaque in this year’s six-team Family Pharmacy Panther Classic hosted at the Arena last week.
Unfortunately for the Panthers, they were only able to pick up one victory and placed fourth in this year’s event.
In their first game, the Panthers dominated Dora, 90-48.
In their second contest, the Panthers had a match-up with rival Ava. They trailed by just five points at halftime, but were unable to get much closer to the Bears as Ava won the game late, 63-48.
In the third place game against Marshfield, the Blue Jays pulled away in the second quarter and cruised to a 62-44 win over the Panthers.
