The Mountain Grove cross country program had two runners win medals in the Fellows Lake race hosted by Strafford High School on Sep. 5.
Junior Macey Penner paced the Lady Panthers by finishing third place out of 78 runners with a time of 22:41.60.
Teammate Abby Fry was 39th with a time of 28:46.30. Other runners included Kimberlie Busalaki (30:34.40), Haylee Proctor (31:19.50), Raleigh Holman (37:28.20), Trinity Elliott (37:28.30) and Belle Bonnenkamp (37:31.20).
As a team, the Lady Panthers scored enough team points to place sixth, just five points behind Conway, who was fifth.
The Panthers were led by Andrew Norris, who placed 14th overall with a time of 19:02.50. Dale Shaeffer finished 39th with a time of 21:21.70. Other runners included Trenton Harker (23:01.30) and Owen Nelson (24:55.40),
As a team, the Panthers were eighth place overall.
