Ozarks Healthcare has 12 new nurses finish program

Posted

Twelve nurse residents have joined Ozarks Healthcare as employed nurses after completing Ozarks Healthcare’s Nurse Residency Program. Ozarks Healthcare’s Nurse Residency Program is a 12-week program for graduates of nursing school that features rotations through different departments of the hospital. Graduate nurses spent time in approximately 28 departments of Ozarks Healthcare’s hospital over 12 weeks.

Because Ozarks Healthcare’s Nurse Residency program provides opportunities with hands-on experience, graduate nurses are able to identify which department or specialty they are most interested in, allowing them to typically secure a position in the department that matches their interest.

From Ozarks Healthcare’s latest cohort of nurse residents to complete the program, six have accepted positions in Ozarks Healthcare’s Emergency Department, four have accepted positions in Ozarks Healthcare’s Critical Care Department, and two have accepted positions in Ozarks Healthcare’s OB Department.

The program also allows graduate nurses to experience Ozarks Healthcare’s culture of compassionate care before being hired, which accustoms them to the organization’s focus on patient satisfaction and clinical excellence before they officially start their career.

Ozarks Healthcare’s Nurse Residency Program begins in January and June of each year. To be eligible, applicants must have completed an RN program within six months and have current RN licensure, preferred or scheduled, with successful completion of the NCLEX within 90 days.
