OscarBelle (Tinsley) Austin, daughter of the late Oscar and Essie May (Rumfelt) Tinsley, was born on Dec. 24, 1928, in Manes, and departed this life on Aug. 21, 2021, at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains. She was 92 years, 7 months and 28 days of age. OscarBelle grew up in Wright County and was united in marriage to Frances Oliver Austin on Aug. 21, 1948, in Mountain Home, Ark. They made their home in the Mountain Grove area for several years. She was a farm wife. She enjoyed her dogs, cats, chickens and milk cows. She also liked to listen to country and gospel music and read books. OscarBelle accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age. She was a member of the Prior Freewill Baptist Church.

Besides her parents, OscarBelle was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Frances Austin; and her sister-in-law, Lucille Sherbon. She is survived by other relatives, friends and neighbors who will miss her very much. Funeral services for OscarBelle Austin were held Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home with the Rev. Dwayne Sparks and the Rev. Willard Burch officiating. Song selections were “Living By Faith” and “Gone Home.” John Long, Tom Long, Bob Graham, Bill Jarrett, Tony Bell and Ray Mathis served as pallbearers. Randy Long, Bradley Loveless and Frankie McCune served as honorary pallbearers.
