Norwood Gleanings for Feb. 23 issue

Big news in Norwood as the boys defeated Mansfield on Senior Night and are conference champs at 6-0 with an overall record of 24-1.

Garrett DeVault was recognized for his leading top scorer for Norwood in beating Riley Jenkins. Garrett is the son of proud parents Jeff and Courtney DeVault. Garrett is a good kid on and off the court. 

Congratulations goes to Ty and Kacey (Watson) McGown on their baby coming in August, Devin Wright asked Abby Lawson (are now engaged) because he finally popped the question.

Mark this date, March 6-9, Revival is coming to Assembly in Norwood and you won’t want to miss it. 

On Feb. 26 at 5 p.m., there will be free pizza and a free event for girls going to prom put on by Nikki Caswell from her thirst shop (non-profit) store. It will be held at Renovation church in Mansfield. Free dresses, shoes, nails and accessories. 

Prom night in Norwood is March 19.

The Norwood Bank will only be open from now on just through the week. They will be closed on Saturdays and the reason is they can’t find any help two work on Saturdays. 

Congrats to Taylor and Wyatt Greenfield (son and daughter of Cody and Mrs. Greenfield); these two siblings got perfect 50s at 10 meters. Taylor won first place in both 3D and bullseye for middle school girls.

Bradley Allen, son of Colby and Kim Allen, won first in 3D and 3D bullseye.

Middle school is ranked fourth in state, high school is ranked seventh. What an accomplishment to you all.

Happy Anniversary to Darren and Lori Jones on the 24th.

Thought: W2s are going out to everyone. I know you miss the beach, but you’re missing a tooth, spend responsibly.
