Nathan Marl Kilgore was born on Dec. 20, 1930, in Simms, Mont. He passed on Jan. 12, 2022, at his home in Mansfield, with many loved ones by his side. In his young life, Nathan and his family moved many times to many different places mostly out west. He served in the Navy three years. After his time in the service, he settled with his parents and siblings near Mansfield on South Range Ranch in 1957. Nathan married Berna on July 16, 1971, and they had six children together. He was also blessed with five children from his first marriage. Over the course of his life, he was always eager to learn. He became experienced in many things such as electrical work, plumbing, logging, truck driving and farming. He loved to read; he always had multiple books that he was reading. He loved history and learning new things. Nathan was a devoted husband, father and friend. The most important thing we wanted to share with other people was his love for Jesus Christ. He strived to serve Jesus Christ in everything he did. He always tried to seek the Lord’s guidance. He was always patient and kind. We are sad to have him leave us, but we know that heaven gained a faithful servant.

Besides his parents, Nathan was preceded in death by his brother, Barton Kilgore; sisters, Garnet Spear, Helen Kilgore and Zella Kilgore; and two sons-in-law, Jim Gilbert and Pete Dannen.
