Myrtle Alice Reeds, 89 of Joelton, Tenn., died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021 at St. Thomas–Midtown in Nashville, Tenn. A graveside service was conducted at the Joelton Hills Memory Gardens at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5, with Dr. David Crowe officiating. Burial will follow with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View, Tenn. from 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5 prior to the graveside service. Mrs. Reeds was born on June 18, 1931 in Bendavis to the late Edgar and Maude Robertson Pembrook. She was a retired editor at Randall House Publications and was later a caregiver. She faithfully served alongside her husband in his preaching ministry, and was a very active member of the Trinity Fellowship (Free Will Baptist) Church in Goodlettsville, Tenn.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Roger Reeds; and brothers, Wesley Pembrook and Roy Pembrook. Survivors include her sons, Tim Reeds and Tom (Andrea) Reeds; daughters, Kathy (Billy) Brown and Holly Anderson; sister, Clelia Pierce; grandchildren, Stephanie Anderson, Daniel (Jaclyn) Brown, Jonathan Brown, Jeffery Anderson, Adrian (Kristen) Reeds, Matthew Reeds and Savannah Reeds; and five great-grandchildren. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Reeds’ memory to the charity of one’s choice. Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View, Tenn. was in charge of these arrangements.
