Mountain Grove’s 3rd annual event Saturday, Dec. 4

Mountain Grove will be hosting their 3rd Annual Winter Fest on Saturday, Dec. 4.

The fun-filled event opens with the Mountain Grove High School Boosters hosting a Santa’s Workshop from 8 a.m.-3: 30 p.m. at the YMCA.

Their 22nd annual event will feature a large variety of vendors.

The Music Booster Booth will have drinks, snacks and other food items. There is a free admission.

The Mountain Grove Christian Academy (MGCA) is holding their Christmas Fest from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4. There will be a Cynthia Fry Memorial Cookie Walk, vendor booths, silent auction, tea room, lunch and more.

Cookies will be sold by the pound.

As for the downtown historic events, the Christmas Grove will be open from 11 a.m.-7:30 p.m. featuring a walk through of donated decorated trees. Those interested can bid on their favorite tree at a live auction that starts at 3 p.m.

The Christmas Expo of vendor booths, bounce houses/games and the Food Fest are also open from 11 a.m.-7:30 p.m.

The Santa Fun/Walk/Run is at 1 p.m.

Kid Train Rides will be available from 3-5:30 p.m. and 7:30-8 p.m.

The crowning of Miss Merry Christmas takes place at 4:30 p.m. followed by the “Nutcracker” performance from Children’s Ballet of the Ozarks. The night parade, with the theme “Story Book Christmas,” is at 6 p.m. followed by the tree lighting at 7 p.m. The Festival of Lights around town is from 7-10 p.m.
