Through a little more than a quarter of play, the Mountain Grove boys basketball team gave their fans a snapshot into their potential this season as they went toe-to-toe with one of the better area teams in Springfield Catholic.
They attacked the basket and hit some quality shots early.
Unfortunately, the Panthers made just 5-of-15 free throws in the first half and took themselves out of the game in a tough 69-48 loss.
