Three Mountain Grove cross country runners competed last Thursday in the Class 3 state championships held on the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia.
In the Class 3 girls race, Mountain Grove’s Macey Penner finished in 65th place with a time of 22:14.0. She was the lone Lady Panthers runner to compete in the race that featured a total of 153 runners from across the state.
The boys team had two runners compete in the state championship race.
The Panthers’ Brayden Hensley was 113th place overall with a time of 19:07.0. Andrew Norris was six spots back with a time of 19:18.0. The field featured 168 total runners.
