Marie Arnabel Sparks

Marie Arnabel Sparks went home to Jesus on Feb. 1, 2022, at the age of 90. She passed peacefully at the hospital in Waxahacie, Texas. Marie resided in Ennis, Texas with her son and daughter-in-law, where she attended J Bar C Cowboy Church in Palmer, Texas the last several years. Marie was baptized Sep. 17, 2017 in her home in Norwood by Pastor Chip Williams of Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist. Marie was born to Carl Conway and Marie Miller on May 13, 1931 in Copeland Kan., where she grew up on the family farm until Marie met her husband, Dallas C. Sparks. They married Nov. 3, 1949, in Liberal, Kan. then moved to Klamath Falls, Ore. She lived in many great places including Utah, where the family gain their two sons. And Missouri where Marie help work the family farm until retirement. Marie had many hobbies that included, sewing, tending to livestock and traveling out west. She frequently rode her four-wheeler and paned for goal in the desert. During retirement winters she would snowbird to Arizona where she worked at the bureau of land management at Quartzsite. Marie enjoyed always being outdoors and talking to the animals. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two sisters and many more loved family members including her husband, Dallas C. Sparks, who passed April 21, 2014. She is survived by her two sons, Clint Sparks (Rose), of Texas, and Jefferson Sparks (Donna), of Missouri; five grandchildren, Brian Jarrett (Kari), of Missouri; Richard Sparks (Shamala), of Missouri; Tanji Todd (Clinton), of Missouri; Brad Jarrett, of Oregon; and Tasha Kamprath (Jonathan), of Kansas; and many great grandchildren. Services will be held by Pastor Reggie Steward on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022, at 1 p.m. at J Bar C Cowboy Church 230 E. FM 813, Palmer, Texas 75152.
