The Mansfield Lady Lions’ volleyball team saw their season come to an end with a 6-24 record last week after a first round loss to Thayer in the Class 2, District 9 Tournament played in Houston. They lost in three sets, 25-22, 25-22 and 25-22. Before the postseason, the Lady Lions traveled to Ava and lost 25-9, 25-5 and 25-16.
After that match, they lost their Senior Night battle with Billings, 25-11, 25-12 and 25-11.
This season was a return to the court after the program was idle since the 1990s.
