Two Wright County residents have warrants out for their arrest for the reported malnourishing of their 6-year-old daughter.
Felony charges have been filed on both LaTisha Cantrell, 28, of Mountain Grove, and Joey Moore, 27, of Mansfield, for endangering the welfare of a child in the first degree and abuse or neglect causing serous emotional or physical injury.
Reportedly, the 6-year-old weighed just 21 pounds upon arrival at a hospital in August. The child reportedly weighed 28 pounds in 2018. Both charges could result in five to 15 years in the Department of Corrections.
According to case.net, both Cantrell and Moore are to have no contact with the victim or another child under the age of 18 unless permitted by the Children’s Division.
As of press time, neither Cantrell or Moore have been arrested.
