Linda Lou (Saladin) Ussery

Linda Lou (Saladin) Ussery, daughter of the late Rev. Owen Saladin and Edna (Fletcher) Saladin, was born Nov. 4, 1944, in Mountain Grove. She passed away Oct. 2, 2020, at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, with her family by her side. She was 75 years of age. Linda was raised in Mountain Grove with her siblings, the late Jarrel Saladin and Karen (Saladin) Moore. Linda graduated from Mountain Grove High School in 1962. Linda married Glen Ussery Jan. 7, 1962 at Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church. There were five children born to this union; Lindal, Clinton, Andrew, Yvonne and Connie. Linda accepted the Lord into her heart and life at a young age, she loved attending church, playing the piano and singing. In her extra time, she enjoyed planting flowers, doing arts and crafts, sewing, and spending time playing games with family and friends. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Owen Saladin; her mother, Edna Saladin; her infant daughter, Yvonne Ussery; her two sons, Lindal and Andrew Ussery; and her brother, Jarrel Saladin. Linda is survived by her husband, Glen Ussery, of Dittmer; her sister, Karen (Saladin) Moore and husband, Gary, of Mountain Grove; her son, Clinton Ussery, of Norwood; and her daughter, Connie (Ussery) Schumacher and husband, Jason, of Dittmer. Along with her grandchildren, Chris Ussery, Andy Ussery, Sara (Ussery) Hendley, Tiffani (Ussery) Hill, Justin Ussery, Clint Ussery, Cheynne Ussery, Glendon Ussery, Trenton Schumacher, Shaundel Schumacher and MacKenzie Schumacher, she was also blessed with 15 great-grandchildren.  “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”(Revelation 21:4) Graveside services for Linda Ussery will be held Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2020, at 2:30 p.m. in Oak Grove Cemetery, Norwood, with the Rev. Jim Hurt officiating. Song selections will be “There’s Just Something About That Name,” “Thank you Lord, For Your Blessings On Me” and “Will The Circle Be Unbroken.” Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mountain Grove.
