Laurie Lee Crawford was born Jan. 18, 1969, in Springfield, and passed away Jan. 28, 2022, at Cox Health in Springfield, at 53 years of age. Laurie was raised in the Vanzant community and graduated from Norwood High School in 1987. Laurie was saved as a teenager and was baptized by the Rev. JD Williams. She married Tommy Crawford on April 6, 2015. Laurie worked at Wal-Mart in the pharmacy for many years. She also worked as a Med Tech for Lamplight Village in West Plains. In her spare time, she enjoyed her flower gardens and had a very green thumb. Laurie loved nature and enjoyed taking walks that usually ended at the pond watching Tommy fish. She especially loved spoiling her grandchildren. Laurie was preceded in death by her father, Bill Emery; her grandparents, Bob and Mildred Emery; and Charlie and Dot Cooper, and by her uncle, Jackie Lynn Emery. She is survived by her husband, Tommy Crawford, and one son, Justin Emery (Ashton), all of Mountain Grove; two step-children, Farris Lee Crawford II (Kim), of West Plains, and Scarlett Crawford, of Diggins; her step-mother, Beverly Emery; two brothers, Johnny Coffman, of Vanzant; and Chad Emery (Kathy), of Neosho; one sister, Julie Booth, of Gentryville; nine grandchildren, Kolt, Kyson, Knox, Chase, Alek, Lily, Spring, Kylie and Emily; her mother-in-law, Clella Crawford; a special aunt and uncle, Bobby and Sandy Emery; and her aunt, Wanda Whillians; and many other relatives and friends who will greatly miss her. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, at 11 a.m., at the Vanzant Community Building, with the Rev. Stasey Sheppard officiating.
