The Norwood Lady Pirates enter this week’s Class 1, District 2 softball tournament as the No. 2 seed. Just after press time, they played either Stoutland or Newburg in the semifinals.
A win gives them a district title game at Crocker High School on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 6 p.m.
Before the postseason, the Lady Pirates lost two of their final three contests, moving their record to 8-10 overall.
Their lone win was a 6-2 victory over Bakersfield.
Norwood did have a tough 7-5 loss to Willow Springs and a 13-0 defeat at the hands of the West Plains Lady Zizzers.
